Art Proofs and Files

Every order receives a digital proof from our design department prior to production. There is no charge for revisions or simple edits such as spacing or adding a phone number. If you do not love the proof or if your plans change you can modify or cancel your order at any time before submitting your approval.

For your digital art file, we prefer the original vector (.ai, .psd, .eps) image.

We just need the logo or message and our designers will take it from there. Generally, the ideal layout is intuitive but if you have special instructions please communicate those instructions to your sales representative when placing your order. You do NOT need to size the file to fit the tape. The maximum dimensions for the print area itself are as follows:

Plates Fees

Plate fees are only for the initial order and are based on the size of the plate. We will keep your plate(s) on file and continue to service or replace them as needed for as long as we are printing your tape. Changes to the image to be printed will necessitate a new plate with new plate lead times.

Lead Time

Digital Proof 2-3 business days

Production 12-15 business days

Delivery about 3 weeks from start to finish

Rush Orders: We understand emergencies and deadlines pop up. Lead times are often shorter than stated but are not guaranteed.

Flood Coat and Reverse Print

Flood coat: Covering exactly 100% of the tape surface with ink and printing another color over top. There is no margin, gap or design.

Reverse Print: Printing the negative space around the design leaving the design untouched that covers 50% or more of the tape with ink. This may have a slight ⅛” vertical gap between images.

Ordering

Once the order is placed and approved by the credit department, we will provide a digital proof for both standard and flood/reverse coat print orders. Delays in credit approvals or proof approvals will extend lead times.

Conditions of Sale

Custom printed tape orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable after proof approval.

Custom ink colors may vary from Pantone code up to two shades and may be subject to additional charges.

Plates may shift during production. A 1.0mm alignment variation per color is possible.
